Life is Crazy, is it not??

I took a look at my planner today...it's definitely madness. All those in nursing school can testify to the insanity that ensues when you try to write everything down. Between trying to cram in my 124 hours of clinical (which I only have done 32 hours of), my other clinical, lecture, work, volunteering hours, church, friends, family, talking to Matt AND wedding planning...I wonder how I have any time to sleep at all! All of you wonder-women out there who do it all and have kids too, I'm seriously impressed. :)

So wedding plans are moving along. I have 4 different appointments this week in trying to get all the vendors nailed down. Last thing that needs to be done is finding the right florist and bridesmaid dresses! That is more stressful than just about anything else. My girls are being super sweet and reassuring me that they'll love anything I pick out but it's getting slightly ridiculous. Pewter is apparently not a common color for dresses...although it should be! It's only one of the best wedding colors there is! I may be slightly biased however... :) I did pick up my dress last weekend and I absolutely LOVE it. And tonight I bought my shoes! Which are going to promptly be dyed hot pink! Here they are-

In pretty much in love :D

Amy and I went to Canton yesterday and we had so much fun shopping and looking at all the stuff we wanted to buy! It's truly endless the different things that can be used to decorate your house. I cannot wait for the day that I get to have full decoration rights over Matt and I's home! He won't know what hit him. They days of bachelor style and posters on the wall in the living room will be long gone. If I can, I definitely hope to pottery-barn our house up, in the cheaper "i'll make it myself" kind of way. My mom is a genius at redoing furniture so I'm betting with her help we can have a decent looking home.

And just as a side note: its only 46 days until I see Matt, and 127 days until our wedding!!

We're in Korea!

I'm visiting Matt in Korea for a few weeks! It's been so wonderful being able to spend time with each other and explore the country together! We went looking for a shopping district in Jeonju, ended up getting lost for a couple hours and discovered the Historic Hanok Village. This week I'm going shopping with some other wives and I can work on my bargaining skills. Apparently Korea is the best place for hand made and personal tailored coats and suits so hopefully I can find a good deal! This weekend we are going on a tour of the De-Militarized Zone, and Matt is very excited to see it!

Fort Worth Bridal Show

Today I went to the bridal show with my mom, sister (plus baby too!), aunt, and roomie/future bride-Kate. The boutique I ordered my dress from asked me to walk in the fashion show. I got to wear the dress I ordered! I had a blast doing it, and even better- I didn't fall down! For obvious reasons I can't post the pictures of it, but in a year I can!
The show was very productive in planning. We got a great deal on the tuxes, and I'm officially going to have a photobooth! It is something I've always wanted to have at my wedding, and I'm so happy it's actually going to happen! I can't wait to see the scrapbook with everyone's pictures and messages for us!
I am pretty sure I found a great DJ, and the PERFECT invitations...we just have to see how much they cost!

Wedding Plans are coming right along!!

The day after Matt left for Korea, I went and signed the contract for the venue our wedding will be at. We're having the Ceremony and Reception at Piazza in the Village in Colleyville, TX. This is the outside of the Piazza. I'm so thrilled to have found a place this gorgeous! And in our budget! :)

I also found THE DRESS! I went with my mom and dad, sister and her husband (Amy and Jesse) and my best friend on Sunday and decided I couldn't find anything more perfect. The store owner also asked me to wear it at the Fort Worth Bridal Show on this coming Sunday, which I thought was pretty neat. Last night I was so excited and happy about getting it I couldn't even fall asleep...I felt like a little kid who was getting to go to Disneyworld the next day :)

We got Engaged!

Matt proposed to me in Monterey, Ca. We were walking along the beach just at sunset when he stopped to pray for us. After that my wonderful puzzle piece got down on one knee and pulled out the most gorgeous ring. I was completely in shock. He and basically all of our friends and family did a great job at making it the best surprise ever. It was so wonderful to stand there with my amazing fiance and watch the sunset on this beautiful place God created just for us. I cannot wait to be married to my best friend on July 11, 2010!
